[0:00:00] Unidentified: Welcome aboard Via Rail. Please sit and enjoy. Please sit and sip. Play. Post. Taste. View. And enjoy. Via Rail. Love the way.
[0:00:15] Andrew: Hello and welcome to the Olympics. It's time for the Olympics. It's a big event. I don't know if you've heard of it. Happens every four years. Welcome to the Olympics. Welcome to the Olympics. Is that one this year? Yeah. No, there wasn't. There was one. Wasn't there a weird one? Wasn't it like two years ago because of COVID?
[0:00:36] Geoff: There's an Olympics every two years because of the winter and summer Olympics. Yeah, but this is the summer Olympics. If this is the Olympics, we got it on Wish.com.
[0:00:44] Andrew: Yeah. I've got a team Olympics for you. You get ready. This is the we're looking at a sheet right now of a bunch of things. It's a big event and it's I feel like it's fun when we have ways to engage with things that are happening much like the summer movie league. So this is something I did last summer Olympics. If you may notice on the left of the screen, you have a country and then you have a number. We are going to go over unders on gold medal predictions for each of these countries. Oh, I like this. And we will see at the end of it who gets the most right.
[0:01:25] Geoff: Now, where did you get these betting lines from? Is this official?
[0:01:29] Andrew: So some of these are official. Some of these are just like statistical previews. It was tough to get betting lines for every country.
[0:01:37] Geoff: And now there are, to my knowledge, 206 countries and then the refugee team competing in the Olympics. But I don't see 206 countries.
[0:01:45] Andrew: No, that felt like it would be way too long. Too much. Yeah. A lot of countries are predicted to win like one medal, maybe one gold, maybe. Yeah. So just it felt like a waste of space.
[0:01:57] Gavin: We got Eswatini.
[0:01:59] Andrew: That's, you know, next time and four years from now, Eswatini is going to be all over this.
[0:02:05] Geoff: So are you saying this is the cream of the country crop, as it were?
[0:02:10] Andrew: It is the ones that were available and then ones that were not impossible to find info on. Okay.
[0:02:17] Geoff: So surprisingly difficult to find lines on a lot of countries. One would assume that only the cream of the crop would be readily available. So for the rest of the countries, you're less, according to Andrew and the Olympic committee and betting lines, you're less significant. Is what they're saying, not I.
[0:02:33] Eric: So what we're doing here is we're going over, under, and that's cumulative metals, right? It's like gold, silver, and bronze all put together.
[0:02:42] Andrew: Yeah. Sorry. This is specifically gold metals.
[0:02:45] Eric: Oh. Oh, okay. So definitely not what I thought we were doing. Okay. Whoa.
[0:02:52] Andrew: I did mention it earlier. May have got lost in Swahili or whatever you've said, Gavin. I don't know what I'm saying.
[0:02:59] Unidentified: Oh, my God.
[0:03:01] Eric: Okay. So we're taking the line of over, under, and we have the an egg order because it doesn't necessarily matter. No, not at all. Like, what order are we going? But because I'd like to keep this, like, I don't want Andrew to influence everyone the whole time, just in case. Yeah, we snaking. Can I propose that we go in a step order so Andrew would go, so we're going an egg order. It's an egg order for the first one. The second one would start with Nick. With Nick, yeah. And then go around. So we're doing, like, kind of a step down every time. So the third one's me, the fourth one's Jeff, the last one's Gavin, and then back to Andrew for the sixth one. And we just kind of keep going around. That way it's not influencing, like, it's not Andrew every time going first.
[0:03:45] Andrew: We, uh, I got psychobrained because you said the step thing, and I immediately got it. I did not need an explanation at all. Wow, really? Oh, that's great. I walked in on that immediately. Yeah. That's fantastic.
[0:03:55] Eric: It was pretty stepping. Great. I think that's fantastic.
[0:03:59] Andrew: Yeah, you say it's pretty clear, but Nick was over here going, what? Yeah. Yeah.
[0:04:04] Eric: That's why I explained it. What? Okay, so, Gavin, do you have any questions before we get started?
[0:04:12] Andrew: That's, thank you. That is exactly what's going to go next. So, you see, there's a number, Gavin. Yeah. Yeah.
[0:04:19] Geoff: Before we, Gavin, can I, I have a question I'd like to jump in. Do you understand what we're about to do, Gavin?
[0:04:26] Gavin: No.
[0:04:27] Geoff: Okay.
[0:04:28] Gavin: I really thought this one was easy. Well, I just say, if I think the USA are going to get over or under 41.5.
[0:04:36] Eric: That's right. Metals. Gold. That is correct. Gold. Gold. Metals. Metals. You do understand.
[0:04:41] Gavin: I guess I do get it.
[0:04:42] Eric: You got it. Yeah. That's great, man.
[0:04:44] Andrew: And whoever gets the most right at the end of this will win an Olympic prize.
[0:04:49] Eric: Oh, I think, I think we should, I think somebody should win a medal.
[0:04:52] Andrew: Yeah, absolutely. Or a medal adjacent thing of some kind.
[0:04:56] Eric: Oh, I like that.
[0:04:57] Geoff: Okay. Metal chocolate. Maybe not a medal, maybe a plastic.
[0:05:01] Andrew: Maybe medal of honor. Who knows?
[0:05:04] Geoff: Medal of honor on PS1.
[0:05:07] Andrew: Maybe. Maybe PS2. Maybe 360. They went crazy. Can you believe they made a 360 medal of honor?
[0:05:13] Geoff: They really got, that franchise really got killed by Call of Duty. Oh, yeah, it did. Oh, yeah. They were top of the food chain for about five years there. And then Call of Duty just shit right down their mouths.
[0:05:23] Eric: But wasn't, wasn't medal of honor, wasn't like the Call of Duty team, like the original medal of honor team? I think so.
[0:05:29] Geoff: Like they left and went to Activision or something.
[0:05:31] Eric: Yeah. Yeah. Because I think when they started Call of Duty, they called it like the medal of honor killer. It was like, oh, Jesus Christ. Oh, my God. And it was. Yeah.
[0:05:39] Geoff: Well, it's because back then, especially because things were a little bit more, you know, not PC, but you just, you couldn't say some, some stuff in media. Yeah. Like they couldn't put in a Nintendo Power or a PlayStation magazine, uh, we're going to shit down the mouths of metal until they choke on our poop and then they die. They die, uh, full of, uh, poop in their throat, in esophagus. That's cool. So they, so they breathed poop and choked on poop.
[0:06:05] Eric: Oh, yeah. All right. All right, Gavin. So you do know what we're doing, right, Gavin? Yeah. Okay, great. Uh, let's, let's begin with Andrew. Andrew, we have a line of 41 and a half gold medals for the United States of America. Will you be taking the over or the under?
[0:06:21] Andrew: Oh, this is a, this is an easy call for me. People are fucking up the USA. USA is going to have a bad year. I can feel it. My bones. Wow. One metal, especially they're not going to get that basketball gold. That's going to Canada this year. I'm taking the under on the 41.5.
[0:06:39] Geoff: Canada plays basketball. Oh, you're talking all this. Yeah, Canada's, America's got the second best team.
[0:06:45] Andrew: America was two points away from losing to whatever nation Gavin said 10 minutes ago.
[0:06:50] Eric: If you, if you play on the Toronto Raptors, are you eligible to be a Canadian player? You really should. You should.
[0:06:59] Geoff: They revoked all U.S. passports for the Raptors players and told them they couldn't go back to the States until they played for Canada.
[0:07:05] Eric: Smart. Um, Nick, over under 41 and a half. Oh, just for that, I'm going over. Basketball.
[0:07:11] Andrew: I'm Patriot over here.
[0:07:12] Eric: Uh, I'm absolutely, I'm absolutely taking the over as well. Like, no doubt. USA. Strong pride. American exceptionalism. I think it's going to be at least 22.
[0:07:21] Geoff: Easiest money today. Take the over.
[0:07:25] Eric: Okay. And let's see. Gavin, over under 41 and a half.
[0:07:30] Gavin: Oh, definitely under.
[0:07:31] Eric: Oh! There you go. That's right, Gavin. You be brave. I had a feeling the foreigners would have something to say about it. Uh, yeah. Okay. That's, that's pretty good.
[0:07:41] Andrew: He believes in Team Canada, too. He's equally in.
[0:07:43] Eric: I don't know about that. I do. Um, so, we have two unders and three overs. This is, I'm very excited to see. We already have a split, and I'm very excited to see how this kind of, like, keeps going. Um, okay. Second, China at 34 and a half. Nick, what do you think? I know nothing about the Olympics. Over. Okay. Um, I am also going to take the over. Chinese exceptionalism. I do believe that China's going to have a great year in the Summer Olympics. Stronger than ever.
[0:08:19] Geoff: Always bet on red. I take the over on China.
[0:08:22] Eric: Wow. Okay. Okay.
[0:08:23] Geoff: Where are the medals made? Uh, host, I think the host nation makes them. Okay. So, it's Paris. Yeah, because I know when they were made for the Tokyo Olympics, I know they took, the gold was stripped from old, like, computer parts and, like, melted down. And that was, like, a big thing about it. So, I think it's whoever the host nation is makes them. Maybe. Under.
[0:08:46] Andrew: Under. Okay. Listen. And, Andrew. I feel like China's under a lot of duress. From what I, I'm not paying attention to China. I feel like I'm hearing a lot of bad things about China and my peripheral. They're struggling. Maybe not struggling. It just seems like maybe not the greatest times. I don't know, though, because I don't pay attention. That could be completely wrong. I'm going under.
[0:09:07] Eric: What are you talking about?
[0:09:08] Andrew: I just, I feel like the vibes in China are not great right now. I feel like there's some bad Chinese vibes. And so, I'm going under. What are you talking about? Thanks for giving me. Distance me from all of this.
[0:09:21] Geoff: Thanks for giving us a peer into your thought process.
[0:09:24] Andrew: I was very clear in that that might be incorrect. But I feel like there's a lot of bad vibes around China at the moment.
[0:09:31] Gavin: But, Andrew, it's the vibes connoisseur or whatever. He's the vibes guy. He detects vibes. Vibe inspector? Is that what his title is?
[0:09:38] Andrew: Oh, that was, but you're right. Yeah. We were going to get my t-shirts. Vibe inspector. Was that a few years ago where the people like elections? And I don't know. I don't know what's going on. I just, I feel like the vibes might be a little bad.
[0:09:51] Geoff: He's reading the vibe leaves and that's what's coming up.
[0:09:56] Andrew: There's something happening. I don't know.
[0:09:58] Gavin: Something brewing in China.
[0:10:00] Andrew: If, you know, and if it's not brewing, at the very least, we got some foreign solidarity between Gavin and I that I like.
[0:10:06] Eric: Yeah. Yeah. Wow, this is some bullshit. There you go. This starts with me at Great Britain. And I don't even have to give a preamble for it. Under. I mean, like, no. Really? Like, yeah, they finally, like, they finally voted labor. It took them 14 years or whatever. So, like, that's embarrassing. And 14, 14 and a half medals is under. So, I'm just, I'm going with, I'm going with the under there. Wait, they voted labor.
[0:10:30] Unidentified: Yeah.
[0:10:31] Eric: So.
[0:10:31] Geoff: The whole country is down in the dumps because it didn't come home. They're not in the right mindset to win. It's true. I take the under.
[0:10:39] Eric: Okay. Okay. Gavin. Great Britain.
[0:10:43] Geoff: Oh, definitely under.
[0:10:44] Unidentified: Okay.
[0:10:46] Eric: Fucking perfect. Gavin's been under on everything. This rocks. Andrew, over, under 14 and a half.
[0:10:53] Andrew: You've thrown me for a real loop here because I was ready to go under because it didn't come home. I felt like, as Jeff said, there could be some, some negative, but you just told me they voted labor apparently, which seems like they're into work and working hard at the moment.
[0:11:09] Eric: Gavin, when you hear that, does it really resonate for you?
[0:11:12] Andrew: Is it, what does labor, labor to me implies there's some activity going on.
[0:11:18] Nick: Is that what y'all thought with Brexit?
[0:11:21] Andrew: See, Brexit is the opposite. That exit is in it. They're leaving. They're no longer doing.
[0:11:27] Unidentified: Right. Right. Of course. Yes.
[0:11:28] Andrew: But labor, when I think labor, I think I'm working hard. This is a tough thing. I'm into getting stuff done.
[0:11:36] Gavin: But the training for the Olympics is much longer than one year. Yeah. A lot of the training would have been conservative rule.
[0:11:44] Andrew: Yeah. I'm a mental warrior, Gavin. I'm talking about the vibes and the mindset going into these games. Oh, my God. I'm taking the over on this because of labor. Wow. You're going with the over. I'm going with the over. They're locked in.
[0:11:56] Eric: Based on the hardworking nose to the grindstone mentality of the labor party.
[0:12:04] Andrew: Well, I don't know what they're. Listen, I'm not the party. I have no clue about. But when I hear labor, it could just be good.
[0:12:13] Geoff: This just became my favorite piece of content.
[0:12:16] Eric: This is crazy. Nick, what do you think?
[0:12:19] Nick: Historically, Britain doesn't do well in France. So we're going under.
[0:12:23] Eric: Oh, wow.
[0:12:24] Andrew: I mean, that's pretty accurate. It's pretty accurate. What happened to Britain and France?
[0:12:29] Nick: Well, they lost. How many wars was it? Let's see.
[0:12:32] Andrew: Yeah. There's only two of them.
[0:12:35] Nick: They fought 41. And I think France won 24. Only two wars in all of history. Are you thinking of a world war?
[0:12:44] Unidentified: They were on the same side. Canada's taking the basketball medal and there's only been two wars.
[0:12:49] Eric: Hold on. The vibes are weird in China this year, guys. They're off. The vibes are off. Jeff, speaking of France, France is favored at 24 and a half. What do you think the over-under? Again, this is in Paris. So they're in Gay Paris.
[0:13:13] Geoff: I feel like the host nation bump is already factored into the over-under, obviously. But that being said, you just you cannot discount the benefit of watching a home team play on their home court or a home athlete perform on his or her home court. So I'm going to take the over.
[0:13:33] Eric: Okay. Over. Gavin, how do you feel about the French in general?
[0:13:37] Gavin: Well, I was raised to boo at them. So I'm going to go under. Wow. They're playing football. I want them to lose. Or tennis. Or do French people play cricket? I don't know.
[0:13:50] Eric: That's a good question. Andrew. Andrew, the host country.
[0:13:53] Andrew: I mean, there's a lot of things to take in. First of all, I know they had an election recently. Was the Labor Party involved in that election? Did they win? I mean, do they have a Labor Party?
[0:14:10] Geoff: Politically, the results are very similar.
[0:14:13] Eric: True. Yeah. Okay. Got it. Yeah. So, I mean, I guess you can. What is it called? It's like the people's. So it's whatever. You got it, Andrew. What do you think?
[0:14:25] Andrew: I don't care. I'm thinking, well, the macaron. And it makes me think of the treat. Which I always enjoy. Right. But there's political unrest. But then they had an election. From my understanding, they were like, oh, it's doing immediate. Who cares? Nobody cares. I'm surprised the French are good at this many things. To be honest. I don't think of them as like an all around. We're doing a lot of good stuff. Not necessarily. That's athletics. What? 20. We're 24 and a half. I'm going to take. How do I read on this? I'm going over. I'm going over. Over. Okay. Yeah. Host nation, as you said.
[0:15:03] Nick: Yep. Nick, what do you think? Home field advantage. And I'm just going with the signs. I had French fries this week. So, over.
[0:15:11] Eric: Jesus Christ. Well, I can say that you guys are vastly overestimating the home field advantage as nobody hates the French more than the French. They have conspired to all shit and toilets at the same time to flood the river with shit. They do not care whether they win or lose. They don't want you speaking their language to them. And for those reasons, I have to give France the under. I think that they, they're smoking cigarettes and their laissez-faire attitude will not lead them to over 24 and a half. So, 25 medals. So, got to go.
[0:15:45] Geoff: Tell that to the U.S. soccer team yesterday.
[0:15:49] Nick: And they're used to swimming in shit rivers. So, let's go. Come on.
[0:15:52] Geoff: Yeah. All of our rivers are shit rivers in America.
[0:15:57] Eric: Gavin, coming to you here for the first pick on Italy. Over under 10 and a half. You feel like your blood, you feel your bones.
[0:16:04] Andrew: The other half of my blood lines. Yeah. What are your bones saying? What's the blood saying?
[0:16:10] Gavin: If I'm checking the nourishment, I'm going to say slightly undernourished.
[0:16:13] Eric: Really?
[0:16:14] Gavin: That's an under for me.
[0:16:16] Eric: Under 10 and a half. Wow. Who could have seen this coming? Gavin has been under on every single one. This is crazy. Oh.
[0:16:23] Andrew: I recently watched the Pixar animated film Luca. I enjoyed that quite a bit. Great movie. I enjoyed the Equalizer 3, which also in an Italian small town. I've been really into Italy recently. I'm liking these small communities in Italy. I think they're going to go over. I'm feeling really. The vibes on Italy right now. Real good. Real good vibes.
[0:16:44] Gavin: What sport specifically do you think they're going to gold at?
[0:16:49] Andrew: Swimming. Because I just watched a fish movie. Swimming. Wait. Wait. No, no. Is triathlon in the Olympics? That's a big point.
[0:16:59] Gavin: This will be a major disadvantage in the water because of all the hair.
[0:17:05] Andrew: Now, they're going to get waxed beforehand. They're doing. Okay. Full body. Nick.
[0:17:11] Eric: Over under 10 and a half.
[0:17:12] Nick: I just watched The Last Crusade and they go to Venice in that movie. Let's go over. I don't. Yeah. Makes sense. Got to go with your gut. I see how you got there. Thank you. Yeah.
[0:17:26] Gavin: They smashed up that floor.
[0:17:27] Nick: They sure did.
[0:17:28] Eric: Spoilers. But, I think, I think this is the summer games. Hmm. I feel like Italy is going to go over. But, like, if it's over, it's just 2-11. Like, I don't think. You know what? I'm changing. It's under. Wow. I'm going under. Oh, you're doing a flip? Yeah. You're doing a flipping flip? Yeah. I just don't have, I don't have the, I just don't believe in Italy. Shut up. Like, they're going to walk away with 8 gold medals and then they'll be happy with it. And, you know.
[0:18:05] Andrew: How did they do in the wars? The two wars that occurred.
[0:18:08] Eric: They didn't do great in World War 2. Yeah.
[0:18:10] Nick: They really messed up.
[0:18:13] Andrew: I'm trying to remember. I don't think I played as them in Call of Duty.
[0:18:17] Eric: Played against them. I don't think they were great. Jeff, what do you think? Italy, 10 and a half.
[0:18:21] Geoff: Uh, well, I'm going to, following Nick's line of thinking, I haven't seen Last Crusade recently, but I did visit Venice in person last year and I got to say it was a, it was more crowded than I would have liked and stinky. And so for that, I'm going to take the under.
[0:18:38] Andrew: Wow. Wow. Okay. You take your hands off the chess piece, Jeff. I just want a quick question. How would Tony Soprano feel about this? Cause I know he's been a big part of your life recently.
[0:18:48] Geoff: He has been a huge, we just watched the episode with that thing. We, uh, we sent around yesterday, actually.
[0:18:54] Andrew: Oh, that's really funny.
[0:18:55] Geoff: Uh, it was so funny that it was, it just popped up. Uh, Tony Soprano would not like the state of Venice in 2024. I promise you, he would want to do something about it.
[0:19:05] Eric: I mean, he went to, he went to Italy and was walking along the beach that was just covered in like trash. And the whole time he was in Italy, I don't think he loved it.
[0:19:13] Geoff: So, uh, and they, they weren't super happy with him either. Honestly, no, no.
[0:19:18] Eric: Oh, he, uh, tried to get him a good deal on cars, but Australia is next 14 and a half. Oy. What do you think, Andrew?
[0:19:26] Andrew: One half of the biggest summer blockbuster anyone's ever goddamn seen Wolverine, Hugh Jackman in a movie called Australia, big money for Deadpool, big gold for Australia. We're towing over. It's going over.
[0:19:42] Eric: Okay. Over. Okay.
[0:19:44] Andrew: People are going to be all fucking pumped up about that Deadpool Wolverine. They've been waiting to see Wolverine in that yellow suit. I think it's really going to inspire the athletes to put their best.
[0:19:52] Eric: Okay. Okay.
[0:19:54] Nick: Uh, Nick, what do you think? Ah, it's long flight. Australia, the movie way too long. So way too long, way too long, way too long. So therefore it's going under, going under, under. Yeah. Okay. Overstay their welcome.
[0:20:10] Eric: Um, I have been getting an exceptional amount of Australian athlete TikToks. I feel as though they are not focused on bringing home the gold and would not be surprised if they silvered out in most of these, uh, events. And for that reason, I'll be taking the under.
[0:20:29] Nick: Uh, this shit's insane.
[0:20:30] Geoff: I would say this is the second easiest money of the day. Uh, I've spent a lot of time in Australia with the Australian people. They're proud. They're talented. I think they overperform consistently. I spent a, I spent a day in Perth. I would never bet against those people. If all the Olympic, Australian Olympic athletes were from Perth, I would say that they'd win 40 gold medals. They're easily going to perform overperform. I take the over.
[0:20:54] Eric: Okay. Over. And Gavin, what do you think of Australia? How do you think they're going to do?
[0:20:59] Gavin: I think it's obvious. It's down under. I'm taking the under.
[0:21:02] Eric: Oh, all right. Oh, I like it. I like it. Land of unders. So that's, that's a nice split there. But next, Nick, Canada, six and a half.
[0:21:15] Nick: Oh, God, you know what? This, this is for, this is for American basketball. Under.
[0:21:21] Eric: Under. Under. You have to think about it. Under. Go ahead, Jeff. No.
[0:21:25] Geoff: Don't get me wrong. I love Canada, but they are in every way a silver medal. Country. They're, they're going to underperform. I'm taking the under.
[0:21:32] Eric: Under. And Gavin, what do you think? Canada, six and a half.
[0:21:35] Gavin: Ooh. What's the top? The North Pole? That's the top of the world. That's the top. Just under that. Yeah. I would say it's Canada. I'm going under.
[0:21:43] Eric: Under it is.
[0:21:44] Andrew: And what do you think, Andrew? The disrespect. You're not factoring in the NBA gold, first of all. You got to put that in there. Second of all, NHL athletes are back. They're back in this. Sidney Crosby. He's going to be there. Connor McDavid. He's going to be there.
[0:22:01] Geoff: They doing a lot of summer hockey?
[0:22:04] Andrew: Okay. Well, they might like, they might, they might go to the Olympics. It's the off season.
[0:22:09] Unidentified: This rocks.
[0:22:11] Andrew: It's the off season in hockey. So when they're doing. They might attend. Right.
[0:22:15] Geoff: Which is a boost. It's a morale boost.
[0:22:16] Andrew: The Canadian, you get Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid hanging out. Canada is pretty excited about it. They like it a lot. Like black asses. I'm going to go Canada over. Shocker. We put a predicted. Okay. They should put. Terry Fox, baby. Yep.
[0:22:34] Unidentified: It's coming home. It's coming home. It's coming home. Seven of them. Welcome aboard VIA Rail. Please sit and enjoy. Please sit and sip. Play. Post. Taste. View. And enjoy. [0:23:24] Eric: I'm next pick, Netherlands, 15 and a half. That's a lot for the Netherlands in gold. It is. That's a lot. Like an exceptional amount. But I'm just going to, I'm going to, I'm just going to go out on a limb. I'm going to say over. I'm going to try it. I'm going to try over on this one and see where it takes me. Jeff?
[0:23:48] Geoff: Not a good year for the Netherlands. They're going to, I'm taking the under.
[0:23:51] Eric: Oh, okay. Cool. Gavin, what do you think?
[0:23:56] Gavin: Nether. I think, you know, it means like lower. So I'm going to go under.
[0:24:00] Eric: Oh, okay. That's cool. That's good. And Andrew, 15 and a half.
[0:24:05] Andrew: I've never met a person from the Netherlands I've liked. Bad nation, my opinion. No, I'm just kidding. I don't have any opinions about Netherlands. Although they do feel like, you know, the meme of like, we got Taco Bell at home or whatever. Yeah. I feel Netherlands is that to like New Zealand to me. Like they're the dollar store, New Zealand, probably because they both start with any and I know nothing about really Netherlands at all. 15.5. I just don't like that number. I'm going, I'm going under. I'm going under on the Netherlands. I think they have a bad time.
[0:24:38] Eric: Under. Okay. And Nick, what do you think?
[0:24:40] Nick: I love the country's name. It's so cool. Over. You like the name of Netherlands?
[0:24:47] Eric: It's a great, it's a great pick. It's some spire oil almost. Yeah. I like it. Yeah.
[0:24:52] Geoff: Gavin and I once watched a guy from the Netherlands drink an entire glass boot full of beer and then scream at us to tell all of America about him. And now we have. Awesome.
[0:25:04] Andrew: My hand is off the piece. Fuck. Dude. You couldn't have told that before, Jeff? Yep. There we go. And that's why me and Nick went over, baby. Oh, man.
[0:25:12] Eric: I inherently knew that story. Yeah, absolutely. But do you know anyone from Belgium? Because they're looking at three and a half here, Jeff. What do you think? Over, under.
[0:25:20] Geoff: This is a good year for Belgium. I'm taking the over.
[0:25:22] Eric: Over it is. And Gavin, what do you think? Over, under three and a half.
[0:25:26] Gavin: Oh, wow. The chocolate's great, but it's the sports. That's an under for me.
[0:25:30] Eric: Great. Andrew, over, under three and a half.
[0:25:34] Andrew: Here's the thing. As Gavin said, chocolate is great. I'm feeling the good vibes. Is the villain from Goldmember, is he from Belgium?
[0:25:42] Gavin: He's Dutch, I think.
[0:25:42] Andrew: Was Goldmember from Belgium? Was Dutch? Is that a, okay.
[0:25:46] Gavin: Yeah, freaky deaky Dutch.
[0:25:48] Andrew: Okay, we're going over. Over all the way up Belgium. I'm liking the vibes. I'm 100% chocolate, 100% medals. They're getting a lot of them.
[0:25:57] Eric: Okay. And Nick. Buy waffles. Over. Over. And this will be the first time that me and Andrew agree on one. And I'm going over. Yeah. We've been opposite the whole way, but I can't deny. I know, me too. I was going to make it a bit and take it all the way to the end, but my want to win is too great, so I cannot do that. So I'll be taking the over as well. And next is Ireland at two and a half. Andrew, how are the vibes about Ireland?
[0:26:32] Andrew: Honestly, vibes have maybe never been lower, and that's saying a lot. Vibes are real bad.
[0:26:38] Eric: I have a feeling that the vibes in Ireland probably were lower 100 years ago.
[0:26:43] Andrew: Name one time. Name one time.
[0:26:47] Eric: 1916.
[0:26:50] Andrew: Fuzz. You're just throwing big numbers at me. That doesn't mean anything. Ireland. They're not, you two, not in the sphere anymore. That's old news. Nobody even remembers that they were there. Conor McGregor has never looked worse. He's terrible. His legacy is down. Irish people, I think it's been a tough time, and it's going to continue to be tough. We're going under on Ireland.
[0:27:13] Eric: Under. Bad vibes. Yeah, I get it. Nick, over, under, two and a half.
[0:27:18] Nick: Oh, I want a real Jameson kick. I'm going to go.
[0:27:25] Andrew: Yeah, but remember the potato famine? Think about that.
[0:27:28] Eric: Right. The vibes were better during the potato famine than they are right now. Yeah. According to Andrew.
[0:27:34] Andrew: You see that photo of McGregor and his broken toe?
[0:27:37] Nick: You have moved my chess piece into checkmate. I'm going over.
[0:27:41] Eric: Over. I'm actually with Andrew on this one. Under it is. I think the, um, I just don't think the Irish, I, my reason is mostly, I just don't think the Irish are going to perform well in the summer games is just my thinking.
[0:27:56] Geoff: Huh. You guys, uh, Eric and Andrew are right, but, uh, but not for the right reason. I actually have a little bit of inside Intel into why Ireland is going to underperform in this Olympics. You can go ahead and put me down as the under my in-laws. Emily's parents just spent like 10 days touring the entire country of Ireland and they had such a good time and had so many stories about how nice and friendly, uh, the Irish people were and how they would just sit and talk to you for hours if you wanted to, that I have a feeling the entire country's probably exhausted.
[0:28:29] Andrew: Yeah. It sounds like they're overcompensating.
[0:28:32] Geoff: They're a little worn out. They, they, they, they rolled out the red carpet to such a degree to my in-laws that they, uh, that they probably don't have the stamina in it to win three gold medals. Yeah. I'm taking the under.
[0:28:43] Eric: Okay. And, um, Gavin, how do you feel about the Irish?
[0:28:47] Gavin: I don't trust a country that can be entirely toured in about 10 days. So I'm going to go under on that one.
[0:28:55] Andrew: I've always said that as well. Yeah.
[0:28:58] Eric: I think that is the most diplomatic way you put that, but that's good. Good work. Uh, Nick, your first Germany over under 10 and a half. Ah, how do I feel about this? I mean, go back to France.
[0:29:11] Nick: You know what?
[0:29:12] Eric: I'm going to go with the under, under, under 10 and a half. Okay. Uh, Germany, strict, deliberate, intentional. I think Germany is going to overperform and probably greatly. I think they're going to take home like 14 gold. I think they're going to go crazy. And so I'm going to take Germany as the over 10 and a half.
[0:29:32] Geoff: I agree with Eric. When you, when I think of Germany, the first word that comes to mind is formidable. I would never bet against them unless they were going up against us. Right. So yeah, I'm taking the over.
[0:29:44] Eric: Over it is. Gavin, how do you feel about Germany?
[0:29:48] Geoff: This is a tough one.
[0:29:53] Gavin: I think they're going to just get 10. So under.
[0:29:56] Eric: Oh, wow. Wow. Under it is. Oh, shit. Okay. Okay.
[0:30:00] Andrew: Uh, when I think of Germany, I think of high level engineering. I think of good design. I think of the Swiss army knife. I think of. That's Switzerland.
[0:30:10] Eric: Now, now, now let's go ahead and break that down. Why do you think of the Swiss army knife?
[0:30:15] Andrew: I, you know what? I know it's a Swiss invention. It's in the name, but it's just really well constructed and it feels Germany. Does it not? Does it not feel like a German invention to you? Really? I don't think it feels Swiss at all. It's mostly red and white. I think it feels much more German. You know what? I never factored in the color relation with the flag. That's a good point. Frickin flag on him. Not all. Well, that's a brand. Can you Swiss army knives without the flag on it? I just assumed that was the leading brand.
[0:30:49] Unidentified: This is maybe the craziest thing we've ever recorded. Let me look at it. Since we've done one of this. Like, this is insane.
[0:30:57] Gavin: You start off with a truth. Like, Germans known for engineering. You can mention, you know, Mercedes. Swiss army knife.
[0:31:07] Andrew: That's the Swiss flag? Swiss flag. Oh, my God. I thought that was a brand logo. I had no idea. That's crazy. That's insane. Okay. Well, what did the Germans make then? Why did they create an engineer? Do they do toilets? Like, doorknob watches? Do they do watches? Who makes Rolex?
[0:31:38] Gavin: I think watches are also claimed by the Swiss, typically.
[0:31:42] Andrew: Really? Have I given the Swiss not nearly enough credit?
[0:31:46] Unidentified: I think so.
[0:31:46] Andrew: Well, you have plenty of time later because they're only one half. So, but that's later. Either way, I feel like Germany is very good at things.
[0:31:54] Geoff: I'm going to say I'm crazy.
[0:32:03] Andrew: Yeah. I've seen that flag so many times that I didn't even know it. Yeah, you thought it was German. Yeah, well, I just, I thought it was a solid brand. This might be the most you you've ever been, Andrew. Oh, my God.
[0:32:18] Eric: When people ask me what it's like to work with Andrew, I'm going to make them listen to just your parts of this. Oh, God. Yeah. What do you think, Andrew? Over, under, ten and a half.
[0:32:32] Unidentified: Oh, God.
[0:32:32] Andrew: Wait, am I going first? Oh, I said over. I said over. He said over.
[0:32:36] Eric: Okay, got it. Okay, cool. Next is, this is another country with a red and white flag, Japan. Nineteen and a half is their line for gold medals. Japan is a winter Olympics country to me. And for that reason, I have to put them at under. I don't think that they will crack 15.
[0:32:58] Geoff: I'm going to go over. I think they're going to do well in some of the newer sports. Ooh, interesting. What new sports are we talking? There's like skateboarding, breakdancing. There's a lot of different, yeah, a lot of different newer type sports.
[0:33:09] Eric: A lot of like subjective things.
[0:33:11] Geoff: Yeah. I think Japan's a young country in general. So I think that they are, they're probably more attuned to the newer sports.
[0:33:18] Eric: I think Japan right now has never been older, right? Yeah, it's a, it's a declining population.
[0:33:23] Geoff: I understand that, but it's a mindset is what I'm talking about.
[0:33:25] Eric: Oh, okay. Okay.
[0:33:27] Gavin: They embrace the future. I think even if you're young at heart and or of mind, I think a declining population, an aging population is a declining gold medal count. So under.
[0:33:40] Eric: Interesting. Andrew, I'm excited to hear about this. What are the vibes like with Japan?
[0:33:48] Andrew: Can I?
[0:33:49] Eric: Do you have to look up which one Japan is?
[0:33:53] Andrew: Here's the, no, here's the thing. I opened up my food app and I was going to make a determination based on if a certain restaurant was expected to be over today. Jesus Christ. And I'm just scrolling through and it's not there, but there is a place called Kamikaze Sushi, which I think is just a, this cannot be released.
[0:34:13] Unidentified: We can't release this.
[0:34:15] Andrew: That's what they're named. I didn't name them. That's a wild name for sushi place. Uh, I'm going to say over. We're going over. I think they have a good year. One uncertain. Sushi for lunch. I'm looking at this Kamikaze sushi place. Chicken Karachi bowl.
[0:34:38] Eric: What the fuck is going on? This is crazy, but it's time for Nick to say Japan over under. What do you think, bud?
[0:34:46] Nick: Oh, for all those reasons and more, I'm going with the under.
[0:34:52] Eric: I wouldn't, I wouldn't want to associate with those reasons. I meant Gavin's. I was talking about Gavin's. Oh, okay.
[0:34:56] Nick: Yeah. I'm just ignoring what happened before this.
[0:35:05] Eric: Okay. New Zealand three and a half. Jeff, what's your thinking here?
[0:35:11] Geoff: Uh, I, it's off here for them for some reason. They're going to, I'm going under. I don't really know why. Just, just instinct. Okay. Just a, yeah, I'm going with my gut.
[0:35:19] Eric: Yep. And, uh, Gavin, what do you think about New Zealand?
[0:35:22] Gavin: It's pretty under there, isn't it? It is. It's not even on some of the maps, unfortunately. Um, it's going to be an under for me, I think.
[0:35:34] Eric: Okay. Uh, Andrew, three, three and a half is the line here. What do you think?
[0:35:40] Andrew: How many rugby? Okay. Well, like, we got male and female rugby. So that's two. Then they're sailing. Sailing is probably three. What's the fourth? What would be the fourth thing? What else are they doing? And they sneak out? Hmm. I think they're going to end up with three exactly. So I'm going to take the under.
[0:36:04] Eric: Under it is for me, Andrew. Uh, Nick over under.
[0:36:09] Nick: There are three good Lord of the Rings movies. And three bad Hobbit movies. No, there's not three bad Hobbit movies. There are three bad Hobbit movies. Therefore, they don't hit the four it is under.
[0:36:25] Eric: Okay. I'm going to be the outlier here. I'm going to say over. I think they're going to shock the world in something like weightlifting or something like that. Where it's just like out of nowhere. I like that. Like what, like what Andrew said, I think is right where it's like, oh, they're going to get three. And then I think there's going to be one shocker one out of nowhere. And it's going to be like, oh, fuck New Zealand, like over perform. They, they hit the four. Uh, so I feel, feel good about that over. Um, but the next one is Gavin in Brazil.
[0:36:53] Geoff: That would have been the first time we all agreed on one, by the way.
[0:36:56] Eric: Oh, wow. Yeah. I don't, I'm not with you guys on that one.
[0:37:01] Geoff: You're it's four. I just think it's interesting that we've never all agreed on one country.
[0:37:06] Eric: That is interesting. That is interesting. Gavin, seven and a half Brazil.
[0:37:11] Gavin: As you may know, we recently had the summer of 98. When I think of the summer of 98, I think of the world cup final with, uh, Brazil versus France, so Dan threw in a headbutt and, uh, and France beat Brazil. So I think Brazil history repeats itself. Summer of 98 under.
[0:37:30] Eric: Wow. Under it is interesting pick, but now it's on to Andrew seven and a half Brazil vibes. What do you think?
[0:37:38] Andrew: I think of the film Brazil, the vibes are off in the film Brazil. Not a lot of good vibes in the movie Brazil. I'm going under. Although.
[0:37:48] Eric: Uh huh. Nah, no, no, no. I'm going under. I'll just. Okay. Under it is, uh, Nick, you know what?
[0:37:56] Nick: Gavin and Jeff had what could be equated to a Brazilian wax. That's true. Hey, that top tier content. I'm going to say over.
[0:38:09] Eric: Over.
[0:38:09] Nick: Okay.
[0:38:10] Eric: Um, I, even though it is a summer Olympics and everything, I just don't believe in Brazil getting eight gold medals. That sounds unreasonable to me. So for that, I will go under Jeff. What do you think?
[0:38:27] Geoff: I think Brazil is going to have a rough Olympics. I'm going to go under under.
[0:38:30] Eric: Well, we all would have agreed there if it wasn't for Nick, right guys? Yeah. Four wrong people. Yeah. See, it feels, it feels good to be on that other side, right? It really does. Until we're wrong. Andrew. Andrew, Korea, eight and a half golds. What is the Korean vibe right now?
[0:38:49] Andrew: Kamikazes. They got yam fries on the menu. Jesus Christ. I've never seen yam fries on a Japanese restaurant menu. Uh, Korea. Um, I'm thinking about Korea right now. It's, there's two Koreas at least. Yeah.
[0:39:07] Gavin: Which Korea is this?
[0:39:08] Andrew: I think it has to, has to be not the Northern one.
[0:39:12] Gavin: Yeah. It's South Korea.
[0:39:14] Andrew: Has to be South Korea.
[0:39:15] Gavin: Well, right. South Korea then.
[0:39:17] Andrew: Well, it's blame them. Blame the Olympics. You're throwing some hate at me. I ain't, I ain't. Here, I'll just, I'll, I'll, I'll, what happened?
[0:39:28] Gavin: Are they, are they actually, are they different teams or are they just, do they just join?
[0:39:32] Andrew: I don't think North Korea is involved in the Olympic games.
[0:39:35] Geoff: North, North Korea has participated in the Olympics before. They might. Yeah. They've been in the Olympics.
[0:39:40] Gavin: Have they? I mean, if they team up, then I guess keep it Korea. I just assumed. They do not. I don't think they team up. They do not team up. Gavin, I don't think it's an SRN, doesn't it?
[0:39:49] Unidentified: They've been known for not teaming up. Chance in hell.
[0:39:52] Andrew: I think that's sort of the whole problem. I'm going to go. I completely don't care. Over.
[0:40:01] Eric: Oh yeah. Unlike the rest of these dude, we care so much about all these. I do. We get to Korea. I do.
[0:40:06] Andrew: I don't care about Korea's medal count.
[0:40:08] Eric: I'm going over. Over. Okay. Nick, South Korea or Korea, eight and a half. You know what? I'll go over as well. Over.
[0:40:18] Geoff: Yeah. North Korea is in the Olympics. They're just not included in this 8.5. Well, there are 206 countries. We're just not, we didn't list them all.
[0:40:29] Eric: Under for South Korea, going under eight and a half.
[0:40:32] Geoff: When I was in the military, the people, the worst duty station to get was a year in South Korea that people would, people hated to have to go there because the Korean army, they would train with them and they were the toughest people on earth. And people, our soldiers just couldn't hang with the, they're called the rock army, Republic of Korea army. And every dude I knew that went there just had the most, like had superhero stories about how tough the Korean military was and just how much they just revered them and looked up to them. And so I would never bet against the South Koreans. So I'm going to go over.
[0:41:10] Eric: Over. Okay. Okay. And, uh, Gavin, Korea.
[0:41:15] Gavin: Oh, I mean, geographically when, uh, put next to North Korea, it's just under it.
[0:41:20] Eric: So I'm going to go under, under it is good, good pick, uh, Nick, Hungary, six and a half for Hungary. That's pretty close.
[0:41:31] Nick: I feel like they're going to go under, under, under six and a half.
[0:41:38] Eric: Yeah.
[0:41:39] Nick: Um, maybe six.
[0:41:40] Eric: I think, I think they're going to surprise people in stuff like, like traditional, like Greco Roman wrestling and, and a lot of like the strength based stuff. So I'm going to go, if they had seven, it wouldn't shock me. I'll go over Hungary.
[0:41:57] Geoff: Uh, I love Hungary. I love the Hungarian people. Shout out to Linda, uh, Gavin and I miss you. Uh, Budapest, one of the coolest cities on earth. However, these are, uh, similarly to America, very politically fractious times in, in Hungary right now. And I think it takes a lot of focus away from, uh, the matter hand and, and, and is distracting.
[0:42:18] Eric: And so I'm going to go under, under it is Gavin. What do you think?
[0:42:23] Gavin: Uh, I like Hungary a lot. They have a pretty cool statue of Columbo. I would say a lot, you know, Columbo was like the underdog of the detective world. Somebody got under.
[0:42:33] Eric: Yeah. I would say he's the underdog of the detective world. Yeah, absolutely. I'd also say that. Um, and Andrew.
[0:42:41] Andrew: Ham fries on the menu. I'm still processing. Um, Hungary 6.5.
[0:42:48] Eric: I think you are hungry.
[0:42:49] Andrew: I am. Listen, I'm opening up a box of fruit as we speak. I'm getting a little snack in. Got to replenish. Uh, I'm going, I'm going under. I just under, I'm not feeling the vibe. I'm looking at their name and I'm not feeling the vibes right now.
[0:43:07] Gavin: How do you feel about the flag?
[0:43:09] Andrew: I don't think I could tell you what it looks like. Really? Is it on any products that I may have bought? Is it on a knife?
[0:43:17] Eric: I don't know that there's a lot of stuff that's like made in Hungary.
[0:43:21] Geoff: Do you buy a lot of goulash?
[0:43:27] Andrew: Goulash? Call of Duty thing? What? Oh my God. You fight in the goulash?
[0:43:35] Unidentified: Oh, yeah.
[0:43:39] Gavin: A couple of people swimming around.
[0:43:45] Unidentified: You're swimming in the goulash.
[0:43:48] Eric: Oh, they're dropping us a gazpacho. Um, next up is the Czech Republic. Not even the right name. Three and a half. Three and a half is the line on, uh, I gotta go under. I have to go under three and a half. It's just not, not striking me as a, uh, a strong year, but I guess we'll see. Jeff? I'm going under as well.
[0:44:13] Geoff: Just had bad vibes.
[0:44:15] Eric: Bad, bad vibes.
[0:44:17] Andrew: Bad vibes. Okay.
[0:44:18] Unidentified: Mm. Mm-hmm.
[0:44:20] Gavin: Mm. Yeah, they might need to vibe. Czech.
[0:44:23] Eric: Oh.
[0:44:25] Gavin: But where's, where is this list from that it's still Czech Republic?
[0:44:28] Eric: Yeah, I was, you know, it is what it is. It's fine. It's the, uh.
[0:44:34] Gavin: Literally isn't, but, uh, I'll go under.
[0:44:37] Eric: I, there's not even a reason there. You didn't even get cute with it.
[0:44:41] Andrew: I was, uh, I was, uh, now is Czech Republic, are they, are they a fashion nation? When I see Czech Republic, I think fashion for some reason. Is there a reason for that?
[0:44:54] Eric: Is there any thinking as to why that might be? No, I don't.
[0:44:57] Andrew: I'm asking the group.
[0:44:59] Eric: Banana Republic? Oh, so you think it might be the Banana Republic?
[0:45:02] Andrew: Oh, maybe. Maybe that's where I'm getting that from.
[0:45:05] Unidentified: Oh, wait.
[0:45:06] Andrew: Uh, I've been given a lot of, no, I've been going back and forth. 3.5. I can't name, like, a rugby for the Czech. Uh, I'm gonna go under. Star Wars has not been doing good recently.
[0:45:20] Eric: Oh, okay. Cool. Great. Uh, Nick.
[0:45:25] Andrew: They're Republic, aren't they? Isn't Star Wars all about republics?
[0:45:29] Nick: Yes. Yeah.
[0:45:30] Unidentified: Okay.
[0:45:31] Nick: Yeah. Mm, yeah, those last, those last movies were bad. Uh, under. Let's all pick under.
[0:45:38] Eric: Wow, this is the first time. We're all on under. There it is. We all agree.
[0:45:42] Geoff: We only agree on Czechia.
[0:45:44] Eric: Yeah, yep. Uh, well, no, we all agree on the Czech Republic.
[0:45:48] Geoff: Oh, oh, right, sorry.
[0:45:49] Unidentified: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Welcome aboard via rail. Please sit and enjoy. Please sit and sip. Play. Play, post, taste, view, and enjoy via rail. Love the way. [0:46:34] Eric: But, uh, Gavin, I'm sorry, Jeff, it's time for you to, uh, lay out for Poland. What do you think? Two and a half.
[0:46:44] Geoff: Not my favorite water, Poland Springs, but I will drink it over a Dasani. And, uh, I would say I enjoy it, and it, it, it, it quenches my thirst when I need it to. So I'm feeling pretty good. Gonna go over.
[0:46:56] Eric: Over? You think there's gonna be more than, I think there's gonna be three gold medals at least?
[0:47:00] Geoff: I think they're gonna get three gold medals.
[0:47:02] Eric: Okay, and Gavin, what do you think?
[0:47:04] Gavin: Hmm. Well, in German, Poe is like your ass. Uh, or your, or your bottom.
[0:47:10] Eric: Yeah.
[0:47:11] Gavin: Which is, you know, under for that one.
[0:47:14] Eric: Okay. And, uh, Andrew, Poland.
[0:47:20] Andrew: Germans made a lot of cars, apparently. That's what I was, I was thinking gears, I was thinking that before.
[0:47:25] Eric: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're talking about Poland now? Uh, yeah.
[0:47:28] Andrew: Poland, uh, it's a tough nation. That's the tough people in Poland. 2.5. I gotta assume they got at least one good boxing in them. I feel like they're a boxing country. Um, I don't know that to be true. I'm speculating wildly based off of one MMA fighter.
[0:47:46] Eric: I mean, totally different from the facts-based guessing you've been doing the whole thing.
[0:47:53] Andrew: I'm not going off vibes here. I'm just, I'm, I'm trying to, I'm feeling the Polish energy. I feel like sausages are a thing I like. Polish sausage, I think, is a thing. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. 2.5 isn't a lot. I think they, yeah, I think they can do it. I'm going over.
[0:48:09] Unidentified: I'm going over.
[0:48:12] Eric: Cool. He was just speculating on that one, guys. Uh, Nick.
[0:48:15] Andrew: I really wasn't feeling it in the same way as feeling a lot of the other ones.
[0:48:20] Eric: Two and a half. That seems so low. I think they can do it. They can squeak it. Let's do it. Over. Okay. And, uh, to me, it's too many overs. I got to go under. It's just, it's not, I don't think so. Uh, but that takes us to Spain at four and a half. Gavin, how do you feel about Spain in the Spanish?
[0:48:40] Gavin: Well, they've been smashing it this year. They won the, uh, the Euros. They won Wimbledon. Um, I think they're pretty knackered from all that. So I'm going to go under.
[0:48:50] Eric: Under. Yeah. Yeah. They're tired. Definitely.
[0:48:53] Andrew: Could I, could I say something about Spain that I feel is unfair? Uh-huh. I think this is an unfair thing. Movies. When there's a movie, I feel like Spain betrays a lot in movies, which I don't think is fair. I feel like, I feel like that's an inaccurate portrayal of Spain, but I feel like it's, it's always like a double cross and Spain is involved. Um, like what movie? Maybe I'm thinking Zorro. Uh. Zorro. Were there, was Spain a villain in Zorro? The Antonio Banderas Zorro? Was Spain a villain?
[0:49:29] Eric: I don't know that we can release this. I'm very excited that we're doing this for us. I just don't know if it can come out for the, for the.
[0:49:34] Andrew: No, this isn't against Spain. I think Spain's great. Spain's fantastic. Yeah. It's the movie's fault. That's what I'm saying. I'm saying unfair betrayal. Uh-huh. Betrayal, betrayal, all of it.
[0:49:46] Gavin: Uh. Is Zorro Spanish or just, or Mexican?
[0:49:53] Andrew: Well, he's betrayed one way or the other. Right. Well, he's, he's not Anthony Hopkins. I know that much. That was old Zorro. Uh-huh. Right. Antonio Banderas, who's now old Zorro as well, unfortunately. They need a new Zorro. Where's Zorro been? They're bringing back everybody. I think we need a new Zorro. We have the right amount of Zoros. We're going over. We need a new Zorro. We're going to get Zorro in here. People are going to get real excited. Okay.
[0:50:17] Eric: Nick, Spain, four and a half. Everything's coming up Spain, Eric.
[0:50:21] Nick: We're going over.
[0:50:22] Eric: Yeah. I, I gotta, I gotta agree with you. They've, they're on the run of a lifetime right now. Uh, they are, they're win, they're winners. They're kicking tourists out of their country with water guns. Um, I don't really understand. I still don't really understand what's happening or why. Uh, but they are doing it. And, uh, for that, I, I will go with the over. Hell yeah.
[0:50:43] Geoff: Yeah. Spain is a whole mood right now. Uh, they are on a winning streak. It's going to continue. The Sagrada Familia is going to be finished. I think next year or in 2026, that's been going for like 120 years. I don't, I'm not looking for this ride, this, this Spain train to, to stop anytime soon. I take the over.
[0:51:03] Eric: Over it is. That'll take us to Switzerland at 0.5 over under Andrew. What do you think about the Swiss army?
[0:51:15] Andrew: I mean, what have they ever accomplished? I'm going on.
[0:51:18] Eric: Well, there was that Swiss army knife.
[0:51:19] Andrew: Yeah, but that's German engineering for you.
[0:51:22] Gavin: So you'll say they're not going to get a single goal.
[0:51:25] Andrew: No, I don't feel it. I'm not feeling. Wow. They're too busy making an additional knife onto whatever they're doing.
[0:51:32] Eric: Now, you just said that was German engineering.
[0:51:35] Andrew: Yeah. Well, listen, their greatest invention is German engineering. So I don't know. Good God.
[0:51:45] Geoff: So are you under? I said under. Yeah, it's under.
[0:51:48] Nick: He said under. Nick, over under. They'll at least fall ass backwards into a gold. Over.
[0:51:56] Eric: Okay. I'm actually going under as well. Winter country, not, not feeling a summer Olympics. Gold for them. Plenty of silvers, lots of bronze. Not, not having it for gold.
[0:52:07] Geoff: Yeah, fuck them. Sumber for me too. Oh shit. Yeah, yeah, fuck them. That's what I said.
[0:52:12] Eric: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's, that's how I felt. As Eric said, yeah, fuck them. Great. And Gavin, how do you feel about the Swiss?
[0:52:19] Gavin: Yeah, I'm just going to have to agree with the majority here. I think you guys are onto something.
[0:52:24] Eric: This is such a mess.
[0:52:27] Unidentified: Next up, Nick, Cuba.
[0:52:30] Geoff: Gavin's going to win something.
[0:52:32] Nick: Yeah, right.
[0:52:32] Geoff: I think it's an interesting test.
[0:52:37] Nick: I've never had a Cuban cigar and it makes me sad under.
[0:52:44] Gavin: The reasonings make about as much sense as mine.
[0:52:48] Eric: Yeah. I mean, yeah, really. Cuba summer games over. I feel good. Yeah. Cuba's got it. Three at least.
[0:52:56] Geoff: I have had a Cuban cigar and it was pretty good, but I feel like I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as Nick if he'd have had the opportunity and I feel bad about that. So I'm taking the under.
[0:53:05] Eric: Yeah. You know what? It is.
[0:53:07] Nick: Thanks for, thanks for joining me here.
[0:53:09] Eric: Yeah, man. Cool. Don't worry. You'll have Gavin on your side. Gavin, what do you think? Over under on Cuba. Two and a half.
[0:53:15] Gavin: Ooh.
[0:53:16] Eric: It's right there by Florida, man.
[0:53:18] Gavin: I don't think they'll get a single one. You know, I think zero.
[0:53:21] Eric: Wow. Wow. Uh, okay, Andrew, let me, let me ask you, what's the vibe? What's the vibe with Cuba right now?
[0:53:33] Andrew: They're not in crisis to what I'm aware of. Um, vibes are good. I'm tired. You just focus purely on the sport.
[0:53:43] Eric: We have to play a video game after this, dude. We don't want to just start with this.
[0:53:47] Andrew: We don't want to broadcast after this. I'm going over. I think things are good. Over. I think things are going okay over there.
[0:53:54] Eric: Uh-huh. Uh, I don't know. Kenya, four and a half gold. Starts with me. I'm going to go over. Uh, I think this is Kenya's year, guys. I think we're going to see six. I think we're going to see six gold. Really? Yeah. Wow. I think it's going to be a big year for Kenya. Yeah.
[0:54:15] Geoff: That's an easy over for me as well.
[0:54:17] Eric: Okay. Okay. But, but Gavin, is it an easy over for you?
[0:54:22] Gavin: Ooh, it's got a lot of people. A lot of potential there. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But, uh, I mean, I saw what the Covenant did. They did to it in Halo 3. Oh, yeah. Halo 2, so.
[0:54:32] Eric: Oh, shit. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, fuck.
[0:54:35] Gavin: Yeah.
[0:54:36] Eric: So, I guess. Under. Under. Okay. Okay. And, um, Andrew, Kenyon vibes. What are you thinking?
[0:54:42] Andrew: Gavin, really, he's the one that pushed me in this direction. Kenyon, you know what's coming for it. They got to get going while the going is good. They're going to be celebrating. They're going to be playing real hard. They're going over. They're overachieving because they know what's coming. Okay. And what's coming is what happened in Halo 2? Yeah. The Covenant invasion. They know it's going to. Listen, it's not great for them. Right. And they know it's coming. That's the thing. I, you know, Halo sold very well. I bet you they do.
[0:55:14] Unidentified: Oh, my God.
[0:55:15] Gavin: Thanks for picking 26 countries, by the way, and not 10. Appreciate it. It's 25, doofus. It's just, it's a down one. Oh, sorry. No, you're right. That was my fault. That's a hard doofus. That might be the hardest doofus I've ever received, to be honest. I got a doofus pie right to the face there.
[0:55:36] Unidentified: I'm so emphatic. I'll take the over. I'll take the over. Over. Oh, my fuck. I can't do five doofus. Oh, Christ.
[0:55:55] Andrew: From the German knife guy. I stabbed that German knife right in your back immediately.
[0:56:04] Eric: Romania, Jeff, seven and a half. We're almost there, guys.
[0:56:07] Geoff: I feel like Romania is too close to Transylvania, which means that's more of a winter sport kind of stay away from the sunlight scenario. Too many Draculas, not enough gold medals. I'm going to go under.
[0:56:19] Eric: Under it is. Gavin.
[0:56:22] Gavin: I mean, Romania, it doesn't even have Rome. If it doesn't have Rome, it's not. Oh, I don't know where I was going with that. Under.
[0:56:32] Eric: Andrew. Andrew, where did the Romanias? We're going under. We're going under, as Jeff said. Yeah, too many Draculas. We're going under. Okay. Nick, what do you think?
[0:56:41] Nick: Rome has fallen many times, and it shall again. Under.
[0:56:45] Eric: Under. Okay. Rome has fallen, but we're talking about Romania. Sure. It's got Rome in the name. Where has it made that one yet?
[0:56:52] Geoff: That's a way better version of Gavin's aborted joke. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[0:56:56] Eric: I got you, Gavin. I'm going to say under, as well, we'll keep it all in the family at under. Wow. Wow. We've got two countries left. Twice. I know. Two countries left. Gavin, you lead this one. Jamaica at .5. Will they get one gold medal at least?
[0:57:11] Gavin: Ooh. You know, I think we're up for a year of silvers for Jamaica, unfortunately. So I'm going to go under.
[0:57:16] Andrew: Wow. Wow. Unbelievable. The disrespect. The disrespect. If you are not cheering for a country that is only expected to win half a medal, you're not living. You're not living life. This isn't over. I want to be cheering for it all Olympics long. I don't even know what this medal could be, but I want it. We're going over.
[0:57:41] Eric: Oh, okay. Over it is. Then, Nick, what do you think?
[0:57:47] Nick: I was blasting the Muppets version of Kokomo. Oh, my speaker the other day.
[0:57:53] Eric: I don't. This is okay. What?
[0:57:57] Nick: Aruba, Jamaica. All right. Racist. No, no, no, no. Ooh, I want to take you. So let's go. Yeah. Over. I believe in him. Over.
[0:58:06] Eric: I think 0.5 is such a low line for Jamaica. They've won gold in the past. It's not like it's new to them. I think that they will win at least one. I'm going to take the over.
[0:58:15] Geoff: I think they got. I think it's a two or three gold medal year for them. I'm taking the over.
[0:58:21] Eric: Hell yeah. Okay.
[0:58:22] Geoff: And I believe in him like John Candy did.
[0:58:25] Eric: Oh, nice. That's a cool runnings, bud. Yeah. And finally, for some reason, last on this list, Kazakhstan, one and a half gold is the line. Andrew, what do you think?
[0:58:37] Andrew: Is New Spain, was that Mexico? Was Mexico once called New Spain? Yeah. Because you guys had me real panicking. I had to look up the nationality of Zorro, which is apparently a highly Googled thing. It says he's from California, New Spain, or Mexico.
[0:58:55] Unidentified: Okay. Is New Spain part of Mexico?
[0:59:01] Geoff: Where is New Spain?
[0:59:04] Eric: Well, it's not in Kazakhstan, the country that you're trying to get gold on. One and a half. We're so close to the finish line. I feel like Jamaica running as fast as I can. Under. Under it is. Nick.
[0:59:18] Nick: One and a half. I feel like they can do two. Let's go over.
[0:59:21] Eric: Over. I'm also taking the under on this. I just don't think it's happening. What do you think, Jeff?
[0:59:28] Geoff: Can I ask a question? Who? I'll take it. Is your silence? Is that a yes or no? Oh, yeah. We just don't know who the who is, but I'm sure. Yeah. You can ask me. Can to all of you. Does anyone know is MMA in the Olympics? No. Oh, no. It's just boxing.
[0:59:47] Eric: Yeah, I don't think so.
[0:59:48] Geoff: All right. I'll take the under.
[0:59:50] Eric: Under. Okay. And Gavin over under Kazakhstan, one and a half.
[0:59:56] Gavin: I feel like, honestly, I've been overthinking a lot of these choices and trying to rationalize them a little too much. I agree. I'm just going to leave this one up to chance. I'm going to roll a dice. If it's odd, I'm just going to go under. If it's even, I'm going to go over. Here we go.
[1:00:06] Eric: Okay.
[1:00:08] Gavin: That'll be under.
[1:00:09] Eric: Under it is. This has been. What an experiment. Yeah.
[1:00:15] Andrew: Guys, would you have, before we advance, would you have taken the over on Kazakhstan because of Dagestani fighters, Jeff?
[1:00:23] Geoff: Is that where the brain was going? It's not just Dagestani fighters. I feel like that whole area of the world is really good at fighting. I feel like it's Dagestan with like Habib and all. I mean, Dagestan is definitely like the fucking center of it. Yeah, for sure. Tough areas. Tough fighters.
[1:00:40] Andrew: Tough areas. Tough fighters. Great drafts. Fucking yam fries. Can you believe that? That's insane. Thank you so much for listening to our Olympic coverage. I'm going to be excited to see. We're providing coverage for the Olympics. I don't know what else to call this. We'll be watching alongside seeing who does what. Someone's getting a medal and that someone is me because I've been feeling the vibes and I feel real good about my whole list.
[1:01:08] Eric: It sucks that Gavin's going to win this thing. Yeah.
[1:01:11] Andrew: No, there's no way.
[1:01:12] Eric: Like, like we, it's not like there was good thought put into this, but you know, there was thought. It's the thing where like a squid picks the like, like March Madness and they get like further than everyone else. You know what I mean? And it's just sort of Gavin just had a plan and we'll see.
[1:01:31] Gavin: I played a squid game.
[1:01:32] Geoff: Do we do, do we do a follow-up video after the Olympics or something? Oh, absolutely. Yeah, we'll have to. We'll go through it.
[1:01:42] Eric: Yeah, we'll talk about it. Yeah. Okay. Um, it, let us know. Watch, like, watch this. You have the lines, uh, make your own picks on your over, under the community can put something together and you guys can see where you stack up against all of our picks.
